Bumblebees

Welcome to the Bumblebee's page!

Our Bumblebee's classroom is at the brand new Runcorn site!

Our busy Bumblebees are year two. We have 5 boys and 5 girls

The Bumblebee's staff include myself, Stacey, I am the class teacher

Coleen, Siobhan and Donna are our fabulous teaching assistants.

Pippa will cover PPA on alternative Tuesdays.

We follow the explorers curriculum which involves:

Communication and Language

Thinking and Problem Solving

My Body and My Self

My Creativity

My World and My Community

This term we are learning through the theme Ourselves

Our extra curriculum activities are as follows:

Monday- the light room

Tuesday- the big playground and the light room

Wednesday- alternative weeks educational visits

Thursday- the hall for physical education and sensory activities

Friday- the light room

We also take our learning outdoors throughout the day

Pupils progress will be tracked using Evisence, you can have access and see photos of your learning journey and all their progress! If you are unsure how this works please contact myself Stacey or the school office.

Our learning journey in autumn comes as follows:

Week 1- whilst learning our new classroom area we will be exploring our "Welcome" story and exploring our new classroom area and our peers.

Week 2- 5 we will begin our talk for writing book Elmer the Elephant exploring what makes Elmer different. We will also explore different colours to make self- portraits!

Weeks 6 and 7- halloween fun! Exploring That's Not My Witch, exploring texture boards and sensory play activities.
